Why did Danny create Coin Through Appendage?
Danny has always admired the huge amount of creativity and problem-solving magicians have put into ‘one coin routines’.
However, the problem with these routines is that they often end up feeling like a collection of cool moves you’re showing to your audience.
When all your spectator sees are moves, the only thing their mind can think about is those moves. They can easily get caught in a ‘cat and mouse’ game of trying to figure out where the coin is at all times.
On the other hand, if the audience is drawn into a powerful and motivated presentation, they forget to chase the moves and are more likely to experience the pure wonder we are always seeking to evoke.
That’s why Danny sat down and created Coin Through Appendage.
It’s a one-coin routine that takes the classic ‘coin through hand’ effect and wraps the various moves and phases in a presentation that both motivates the sleights and captures the audience’s imagination.
